It is evident in the phrase â€Å"Then the creature stepped from mirage on to clear sand, and they saw that the darkness was not all shadow but mostly clothing. † By using the noun â€Å"creature†, Golding instills a scary, horrifying appearance to the group of boys. Also, he uses the word â€Å"mirage† to provide the reader with a mysterious, almost horror-like feeling as the group comes closer and closer. These nouns signify mysteriousness and darkness, providing the readers with a spooky, eerie atmosphere which helps us understand that the group of boys seem dangerous. By using the words â€Å"don’t even notice†, Golding wants the reader to experience the anger that Ralph has for these children. He states that he â€Å"work all day with nothing but Simon†, which means no child wants to do the hard work, except for those who actually are optimistic and think they have chance to leave this island. The other children’s egoistic behavior becomes problematic for the faction to develop any further. Golding emphasizes the state of stress Ralph is in as the leader of a faction in this sentence: â€Å"And I work all day with nothing but Simon and you come back and don’t even notice the huts! †This passage in the novel is used to let the reader the reader there are lots of egoistic people in the world and that it is very hard to get those people to work. In this passage of novel Golding makes it known that the quietness of the forest is disturbed by using verbs like â€Å"burying†, â€Å"kicking†, â€Å"scattering†. These words add to the destructive mood of the passage. Also, the setting is described as horrendous, menacing, and violent because one of the boys, Maurice in particular, laughs during this passage, meaning his carelessness towards the forest may result in shortage of necessary figures for their faction. Throughout his publicized life, he became the spokesperson of the psychedelic age. His devotion to the belief that LSD and marijuana were gateways to enlightenment resulted in a new church, numerous prison sentences, and a following of both celebrities and the general public. When people think of Timothy Leary their immediate response is "Turn on, tune in, drop out," his trademark line, although the meaning of it has often been misinterpreted. Playboy Magazine had thought that his message was advocating, "getting high and dropping out of school," (Marwick 311). When asked by the magazine to explain the meaning of the phrase he responded, " ‘Turn on’ me ans to contact the ancient energies and wisdoms that are built into your nervous system. They provide unspeakable pleasure and revelation. ‘Tune in’ means to harness and communicate these new perspectives in a harmonious dance with the external world. ‘Drop out’ means to detach yourself from the tribal game." (Marwick 312). This was not the first time his methods were questioned. Leary was first publicly noticed, and criticized by then fellow Harvard professors, for his interest in LSD when he and friend, Robert Alpert, wrote an article for the Bulletin of Atomic Scientist. In the article they described a circumstance that in the event of war, the Russians might try to lace the American water supply with LSD. Then, when everybody in America is stoned, the Russians would seize power. They explained that in order to prevent the scenario from happening, everyone should take a dose of LSD so they can get used to the effects (Sterns 278). Coordination- Advance information and communication technology provided a wide scope to the travel agency. With the help of internet connections, the travel agency can easily coordinate with the customers as well as with the business partners. Agency can give the details related their travel by communicating them (Pappas, 2015). Apart from proper coordination, the speed of information transfer will also improve. Organization working- Computers, hardware, and software help the travel agency in the working. ITC advanced age brought software and computers with the help of which travel agency can store data on daily basis. Enterprise-level software like Unit4's Central Command permits travel agency to manage the business data, this brings efficiency in the working of the travel agency. Online booking- Travel companies are selling their travel package on the online website. This might bring a decline in the business of the travel agencies. Though, Questex travel group said that still 55% of the airline travel bookings, 73% of the package travel bookings and 77% of the cruise bookings are possible because of the travel agencies. This is possible because of the adaptation and implementation of the advanced technologies. Value added to service- Travel agencies are preferred by the customer because nowadays these agencies are adding value to the services. Travel agencies try to bring improvement in the user experience. GPS tracking technology builds the trust of the customers on the travel agencies. Many companies use GPS tracking not only in travel but also in transportation for the daily purpose. Technology supports agencies to track the customer's activities with the help of the CRM system and Personalize service. Australian travel agencies provide a mode of sharing feedback with the customers through which agencies will be able to identify the problems (Meriague, 2014). Then, agencies can take corrective steps to improve the services. Turnover increases- Travel agencies turnover increased after using the updated technology. Agencies used CRSs/GDSs increase the productivity of the travel agencies.
